

Dr. Alyssa Ramos-Chavez is a licensed clinical psychologist with extensive experience working with adolescents and adults. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Ramos-Chavez brings a trauma-informed, culturally responsive approach to therapy. Her professional background includes work in private practice, hospitals, schools, and community mental health organizations, where she has provided evidence-based care to individuals coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, and co-occurring medical and mental health conditions.

I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, coping with grief, coping with loss, motivation, self-esteem, & confidence. I also have experience working with coping with life changes and addiction. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
I am a Masters-Level Clinician providing individual and couples counseling both in-person and via telehealth. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eckerd College and my master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I am a member of the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honors Society, the American Counseling Association, and the American Mental Health Counselors Association.
My experience allows me to work with individuals seeking to improve their mental health. I am passionate about helping teens, young adults, and college students dealing with anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem issues, and trauma.
I believe that counseling can excel healing and instill hope in your life. I see individuals that are longing for a better quality of life but unsure of how to get there. My goal is to hold the hope while you do the brave work of coping and healing.
