I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with experience working in private practice with clients of all ages and a wide range of concerns. I earned my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in 2019, and I’m passionate about supporting individuals through life transitions, emotional challenges, and personal growth. I work with concerns such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and mood-related conditions, and together, we’ll create a space where you feel supported and understood as we navigate what you’re going through.
I truly enjoy helping people achieve their goals for emotional well-being. Whether you are experiencing anxiety or depression, or simply struggling with motivation, I would love to help you on your journey! I have 20+ years experience working as a therapist. I am a graduate of Northern Michigan University and University of Michigan. My professional internships were completed at Marquette General Hospital Adult Inpatient Psychiatric Ward and at the University of Toledo Student Counseling Center. Following graduate school, I worked as a counselor for foster and adopted children. I also worked as a K- 8th grade school counselor. In 2002, I joined the United States Air Force, where I spent 8 years working to improve the mental health of military members and their families. While deployed, I operated a combat stress clinic and responded to emergent mental health needs of soldiers, sailors and airmen. After separating from the USAF, I have continued working as a therapist, serving adults from various backgrounds. I embrace diversity, and welcome all people!
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Board-Certified Sex Therapist with over 25 years of experience in healthcare and mental wellness. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy to individuals navigating a wide range of emotional, psychological, and life challenges. I have specialized experience supporting clients from diverse backgrounds and ideologies. My practice is grounded in a commitment to inclusivity, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
Great to meet you!
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and stability in life. Asking for help can be one of the toughest challenges, so congratulations on taking that first step! I’ve been practicing for 10 years, and my main focus are adult clients who are struggling with PTSD, anxiety and depression.
Relationships can be difficult. You often feel careful not to upset anyone, constantly second-guessing your words, and carrying the weight of other people’s emotions. You may feel like you’re walking on eggshells, stuck in patterns of people-pleasing, or seeking approval just to feel “good enough.” Deep down, you might fear being seen as too much. You’ve learned to silence your needs to keep the peace. You might feel responsible for how others feel and find yourself putting their needs before your own. Maybe you grew up needing to earn love or learned to stay small to feel safe.
If any of this sounds familiar, know that you're not broken and you’re not alone. These patterns are often rooted in trauma, especially from childhood or past relationships. Together, we can start to untangle them. Healing is possible, and it starts by learning to trust yourself again. I am committed to help people thrive and heal from their past traumas.
I go ABOVE and BEYOND what a regular therapist does in session. I send summaries of the session for you, and sometimes personalized worksheets to further your understanding of your work. I have been married 29 years and am a mom of two: a daughter, 23, and a son, 20 years old. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work in 1997. I have specialized advanced training in ADHD Coaching with adults and children. I am internationally certified in EMDR therapy. I am trained in Internal Family Systems IFS. I am also a Qualified Supervisor if you are looking for Supervision.
