I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and trauma-informed somatic therapist specializing in PTSD and Complex PTSD (C-PTSD). I hold a degree in Social Work, and my work is grounded in a trauma-informed lens that recognizes how lived experiences shape both the mind and the nervous system. I integrate somatic approaches to help clients develop greater body awareness, emotional regulation, and a deeper sense of internal safety.
I have experience working with individuals navigating trauma, complex trauma, and substance use recovery. I understand that many coping strategies once served as protection, and healing often begins with compassion rather than judgment. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel respected, empowered, and safe to explore their experiences.
I've been a therapist for the past 8 years. I've found asking help to be one of the hardest things a person can do in life. For those who are ready to ask, I'm ready to be the person to help you. I emphasize creating a safe environment and adapting to what my clients need.
As a licensed counselor in the Sunshine State of Florida, with almost 12 years of experience, I have worked with a variety of populations & settings. Whether it is teens/young adults (ages 15 & +) through 80 years & older, what I can tell you I have learned so far is; we all go through some "unlucky" things sometimes. What counts & is most important is how we learn to cope & manage these situations life throws our way. Together we can digest & learn ways to heal when life gets hard!
Nice to meet you all. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to grow as a clinician while supporting others. The first half of my career I spent working with adolescents in schools and in their homes as a therapist. I gained a deep appreciation for their resilience, insight and growth. I currently work with adults who have both mental and physical challenges providing compassionate, person-centered care.
I've been a Social Worker since 2nd grade-always first in line to give a hug, support friends, and share snacks. In college, I took "Intro to Social Work", and I've never looked back. My career officially started in Addictions, and with my post-graduate studies in Structural Family Therapy, I've honed in my therapeutic skills. I've worked in a variety of settings, most recently as a Veterinary Social Worker. Logic, humor, and animals (preferably dogs!) are the cornerstone tools of my work.
As a compassionate and experienced therapist, my mission is to support individuals through some of life's most challenging experiences, including loss, acute and chronic illness, trauma, life transitions, caregiver burnout, depression, and anxiety. With an extensive background in healthcare and hospice, I understand that these difficult circumstances can leave you feeling overwhelmed, isolated, and unsure of where to turn. My approach is grounded in empathy, understanding, and evidence-based therapies to help you find clarity, healing, and strength as you navigate these challenges. I specialize in helping individuals cope with the profound emotional and psychological impact that these experiences bring.
