Navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 7 years of experience helping individuals manage mental health and substance use concerns. My approach to therapy is warm, welcoming, client-centered, and often sprinkled with humor and optimism to make the journey feel a little lighter. I believe in meeting clients where they are, and I tailor my techniques to suit each person’s unique strengths and goals.
I work with children (ages 11+), adolescents, and adults, offering support across a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or struggling with substance use, I offer a safe and supportive space to explore your concerns and build meaningful change. I also work with individuals experiencing challenges such as domestic violence, anger management issues, adjustment disorders, and family or romantic relationship struggles. I have extensive experience working with mandated clients and those navigating probation or the criminal justice system.
I hold a Master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Siena College. My clinical work includes experience with alcohol, cannabis, opiate, and hallucinogen use disorders, as well as mood and personality disorders including bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder. I also support clients coping with grief and loss.
I enjoy helping people. Working in diverse settings and with diverse populations has added to my experience. I believe every day is a gift that brings opportunities to heal, grow and learn together. Healing is a beautiful journey we will take together. I am also focused on Christian counseling and incorporating clinical skills that support your journey.
I like to help my clients recreate their narrative through expressive forms of art. In my practice I've only ever had clients who were visionaries. After all, aren't visionaries those who see things others don't see ... yet? Here's to system redesign!
As a non-binary therapist, I am committed to providing a safe, welcoming space for individuals of all identities. My approach is warm and collaborative, ensuring that every person I work with feels seen, respected, and empowered. I specialize in working with both adolescents and adults, supporting them through the unique challenges of life and growth.
In many ways, animals embody mindfulness: they are present in the moment, without judgment. It was my love for animals, my work in animal rescue, and my experience volunteering with my dog as a pet therapy team that solidified my desire to become a psychotherapist. I witnessed first-hand the myriad therapeutic benefits that animals bring to humans, and I thought: Not only do I want to emulate the traits of empathy, authenticity, non-judgment, and being in-the-moment, but I want to employ them in an intentional manner.
